Versatile Living Space With “Magic Tablecloth”
The concept of a unique House closet, developed by the Portuguese architectural studio Consexto, appeared due to the need to transform a small space area of only 44 square meters of comfortable living environment for young couples.
Comfortable house, located in Metosinhos (Portugal), consists of five volumes, two of which are completely flexible to transformation, by mixing the sliding walls, decorated with natural wood. This method gives the opportunity to change the living space as needed in certain specified functions of the architects.
“Magic Tablecloth” Features And Aladdin Abilities
Almost all of the “filling” the house is equipped with automated technologies, which allow the subjects of the situation easily change its appearance and functionality.
Return on space and technology has become one of the key issues throughout the development project. That is why all the solutions are possibly feasible and do not avoid any unnecessary “frills” and complications.
All electronic devices and lighting systems are fully controlled by home automation system, so one of the main objectives of the project was to find ways to maximize energy efficiency.
As a result of painstaking work of architects, customers received a little “magical” house with features of “magic tablecloth” and the abilities of Aladdin that turn into “one another” and get all the necessities “out of the ground”.
