Spode Woodland Turkey Well and Tree Platter

Spode’s distinctive Woodland pattern depicts game animal and bird studies perfectly framed by a rich sepia-tone border of stylized Victorian flowers. The striking Turkey Well and Tree Platter measures 20- 1/2 inch Length x 15 inch Width. The platter features a plump American turkey. The well and tree dish, often simply known as a meat dish, was specifically for roast meats where the juices would trickle down into the groves (tree) into the hollow (well) to be served in spoonfuls as the slices of meat were served.
