Park Seed Salix integra ‘Flamingo’

For year-round beauty, there is simply no bettering this splendid sport of the old favorite ‘Hakuro Nishiki.’ In spring, the leafless shrub sets hundreds of small, slender yellow catkins, which look brilliant against its deep red stems. As the shrub leafs out, those leaves closest to the base of each stem remain green and white, while the outermost emerge a brilliant pink and remain that way well into summer. Cut the stems back for another flush of pink later in the season! And when the foliage finally drops for winter, the bright red stems are revealed in glorious silhouette. Content in sun to part shade and any well-drained soil, this delightful little shrub is resistant to leaf scorch and, with regular pruning in summer, grows ever bushier and more beautiful with each passing year. We highly recommend it for garden or container.
