An exceptional work of art, crafted entirely by hand by artists in Mexico. The elaborate design showcases Talavera pottery’s signature complex motif incorporated from many different cultures, framed by bands of color, with stylized flowers in a medley of bright colors. Originally brought to colonial Puebla by artisans from Talavera de la Reina in central Spain, Moorish art met designs from the Orient brought to Mexico by way of the Philippines in the late 1500s.
