Zaha Hadid and Her Cultural Center
Magnificent Zaha Hadid presented a project multi-purpose cultural center of Rabat Grand Theatre, which will soon be built in Rabat (Morocco). The cost of construction of a new area of 47,000 square meters will be 120 million Euros.
The opening of a futuristic multi-purpose cultural center, no doubt, will become one of the most significant events in Morocco. Innovative design and advanced building of infrastructure will have a momentous significance for the city and region.
Rabat Grand Theatre Project
The theater is designed to demonstrate the rich cultural heritage of Morocco – one of the major capitals in the world. The spacious new facility equipped with an amphitheater can put up to 7000 people. Besides the amphitheater here two auditoriums will operate – for 2,050 seats and 520 seats. One of the programs of the cultural center will be creative workshops.
Typical of the architecture of Zaha Hadid’s “fluid” lines, this time, could not be more organic. Futuristic forms of a seamless structure like the “flow” from the shores of the nearby river and climbing up to the sky, slowly moving back, blending into the coastal landscape.
