Designed by Korean designer Haeyoen Kim, this chair is made for people, who want not comfort but peace of mind, for those who are not interested in soft armrests and high back, but the opportunity to gain the ease of thought and body. Yogis were ascetics, and therefore the design of the project Meditation Everyday is somewhat ascetic and sustained. However, the minimalism of today is at a premium.
Meditation Everyday with extraordinary chair
Meditation Everyday looks like a short and round stool is not characterized by stability, not to mention the softness. It seems that you sit on it and it starts to swing left and right, back and forth, creaking alarmingly and aiming to drop their “rider” on the floor. But do not worry, the exterior is known to be deceptive, and sit on that chair should be in the lotus position, as required by the “protocol”.
And in order the chair doesn’t swing, you need to take a deep breath, close your eyes, relax, do not make any sudden movements, and try to maintain balance, equilibrium, both inside and outside. They say it’s great disciplined, well coached, everything else. And they say that the real, enlightened yoga, meditation master, can levitate, you immerse yourself into a trance and reach nirvana. This fact inspired the designer Haeyoen Kim to create this unusual chair.
