IDEA Office Introduces Open Confidentiality Y-House
Built-up area of a house built in Sayatame (Tokyo, Japan), consists of 1050 square meters. As Y-house is surrounded by predominantly two-storey houses with many windows and balconies, then to create the conditions privacy of its residents was not quite simple.

The building includes the garage, home area, garden, living room, nursery and bedroom.
Outdoor terraces effectively doubles the living space at home, decorated in a traditional style of modern Japanese homes minimalism.
The life of the inhabitants of the house is in the open air, but for an impenetrable wall, encircling the perimeter of the house and leaving only a wide rectangular hole on the front facade, which helps penetration of light into the southern side. All other rooms are closed and more are in the shade.
It should also be noted that this is really a Japanese house built by American architects in accordance with the principles of sustainable construction.
