Manfred Kielnhofer Launches “Ghostly” Christmas Lamps Called Time Guards

A new line of lamps called Time Guards, are an enigmatic work of Austrian designer and artist Manfred Kielnhofer, dedicated to Christmas holidays.

It seems that these fixtures made of polyester life-size emit an infinite sadness… What was the intent of their author? What associations are designed to cause it to work? Maybe awe, inspiration, compassion and contemplation of the eternal?

The author himself, at least, left this mystery unsolved, without giving any public explanation and hints. Perhaps that is why the true art does not need them?

These luminous sculptures equipped with energy-saving lamps power 32W, reminiscent of the mysterious figures of the monks. And if you dare to look for them under the cloak, you will find just a black void…
