Innovative Project Of Emergency Land Skyscraper
South Korean architect Jinman Choi and Ji Yong Shim have developed a futuristic skyscraper project Emergency Land, implementation of which very soon may become a critical need to gradually absorbed by the sea islands of Tuvalu Islands.
Residents of eight of the nine islands in the Pacific Ocean near the equator, may remain without a job for the existence, as the sea has flooded most of them.
Stable Alternative For The Disappearing Islands
Two islands have already suffered the consequences of severe flooding, after which the sea level continues to rise, gradually absorbing the ground. According to experts, these populated islands may disappear within the next decades.
Located near Australia and New Zealand can take only a limited number of immigrants per year, so according to the authors of the project, innovative solutions allowing to solve the problem of disappearing islands should be adopted and implemented as quickly as possible.
The project concept is to form a vertical structure, which is like an anchor will be strengthened in the ground, on the seabed. This, at first glance, the fragile structure will be able to provide the conditions for the life of 11,000 future residents.
These funnel-shaped platform on the architect’s plan, will increase the area of “land” that satisfy the conditions for normal life of people fled flooded areas of the islands. This socially responsible architecture aims at taking care of those, whose homeland, unfortunately, doomed to extinction.
