Shades of Pink: Romanticism or Austerity?
Pink is gentle, romantic and ambiguous color. Why ambiguous? Because for some it is associated with femininity and love, for others it is associated with the “color of blondes” who supposedly don’t suffer from excess of intelligence. Why one and the same color has such opposite attitudes?
Psychologists say that pink is able to reduce aggression and relieve tension. Therefore, if aggressiveness is peculiar to you, just pick up some of the pink shades to paint the walls or for decor of your room. If painting the walls in pink seems something too trivial, you can use this color in the textile design of your room. You may have pink curtains and bedspreads, also pink carpet on the floor; it will create pleasant, relaxing atmosphere in the room.
However, the associations with excessive emotionality, sensitivity and excessive femininity can also play negative role for pink. People who love austerity and minimalist in the interior, as a rule, never pick up pink shades to decorate the room. For them, it will look like decorating rhinestones on a business suit. Well, each of us has his own taste. And if you like any of the shades of pink, don’t worry, if not all of your guests are able to get you.
