Choosing Furniture for Audio and Video Equipments
This kind of furniture includes a variety of items: racks of CDs, stands for speakers, stands for televisions and video equipment, specialized “TV wall”, as well as sections and modules composed of the racks and walls.
Most of the furniture for audio and video are combined, i.e. used to install several types of equipments. Standard option is a stand for TV, which has shelves for VCR, and cassettes. Lower cabinets can be framed as a cabinet with opening doors.

In many cases, TV and other video and audio equipments are installed in a special niche and shelves inside the wall. Therefore, planning to buy a set, do not forget to figure out where it will be located – in the “center” of your living room – a favorite TV.
If you do not want to clutter up the room with massive closets and cabinets, you should think about buying a special “TV wall” or shelving.
The so-called wall of TV sets usually consists of outdoor cabinets to install your own TV, a large number of equipment shelves and drawers, in which you can put videos and CDs.
In modern interiors, involving a maximum of space and a minimum of furniture for placing the equipments, light cabinets are the best solution. On the shelves of cabinet books, magazines, cassettes, as well as components of acoustic and video systems can be put in “mixed” way.
Furniture design for the equipments is determined by the material of which it is made. The most fashionable bars and stand are made of glass and metal. Modern high-strength glass (for countertops and shelves) can withstand pretty heavy weight. Hollow tubes and pillars are made from the chrome aluminum, on which the constructions are hold.
Classic TV cabinets are usually made of one material: wood or wood-based panels (MDF, particle board, etc.).
The combination of “warm” and “cold” materials, i.e. wood and glass are always in fashion. Table tops and the doors opening at the bottom are made from the tinted glass.
Many types of racks, stands and pedestals are equipped with rollers or wheels. “Mobile” furniture for the equipment is very comfortable and functional, because it can be replaced, wherever you go.
