Taking Care of Polished and Varnished Furniture

It is known that the polished pieces of furniture are spoilt from water. Therefore, not to spoil it, at first wipe with a soft dry rag, and then wipe it with a piece of a bit moistened flannel with a few drops of turpentine or lubricating oil.
Approximately in half an hour rub the furniture with a dry and soft rag. Small damages and scratches on the polished furniture can be cleaned, being moistened with a mix of red wine and lubricating oil (in equal proportions). When the liquid is a little absorbed, the remainder should be rubbed in in circular motions, and then with a soft dry rag polish the surface of the furniture until shining.
After the lapse of years the varnished furniture grows dull and loses shine. To update it, first of all remove the upper layer of varnish with a fine-grained emery paper, cautiously directing it along tree fibres. Then cover the furniture with a new varnish layer, the one that has alcohol in it is the best. For example, you can sue the non-colored or colored nitrovarnish. In 30-40 minutes when the varnish dries up well, put the second, and sometimes the third layer.
