Knitted Furniture is Released by Kwangho Lee

One of the nowadays fashion trends knitted hand-made,  not only refers to the fashion section and represents not only creative jewelry and accessories, up to the ties, handbags and underwear. We repeatedly got acquainted with other “needlework”, such as knitted bench, knitted tube, knitted ottoman and other knitted furniture. It’s time to add to the list a collection entitled Obsession Series from the designer Kwangho Lee.

This series of home furniture remind about dry spaghetti of quick cooking. If anyone remembers something like that looks and briquette with soluble noodles, it needs to be drawn from the package – small “sheep”, adjoined to each other, and crisp, if they crush it. However, it is hardly the “sheep”-springs from which the furniture of Obsession Series is made, will be crispy, but still you are going to expect something special, getting ready to make yourself comfortable in one of these armchairs.

It should be noted that the furniture is handmade by knitting skills that remained in the designer since childhood: in due to time, being fond of braiding of macramé, and now is able to use this knowledge to create unusual chairs, ottomans and shelves. By the way, some products are reminiscent of metal objects, woven from chains, but this is only an illusion. In fact, the author used a soft knitted cord with a core of wire.

Although initially it appeared in the thin plastic tube at work, which the author found in one of the construction stores, but after trying to create furniture of these tubes, his fingers hurt so bad and his back was aching too that he began to refuse that idea in favor of the material that he uses today. It is pleasant to the touch, and it is much easier to work with.

By the way, Kwangho Lee has a set of furniture, which he intends to make of furniture, and  according to the designer it will be more fun.
