Apulian Lekanis Lady of Fashion

From the Greek colony of Apulia, located just above the Italian “boot”, dating to about 325 B.C. Lidded vessel called a Lekanis (or sometimes Pyxis), done in red-figure with twin Lady of Fashion portraits and two palmettes, base in solid blackware. 5-1/2″W (including handles) x 3-1/2″H, in excellent condition with minor overall chipping and tiny chip to lid.
