Wall Decor in Provence Style
When you create an interior in the provence style, great attention is to be paid to walls finishing. Getting to finishing of the walls, try to imagine as if your wall is canvas and try to recreate that feeling with soft strokes and gray-brown hues.
In order to start finishing the walls in the cold season, heating of the cottage should be working, as in the cold room plaster and paint will dry very slowly.
To create such effect you will need several colors of paint (two or more). Initially, you can paint the walls with a roller in a single tone. The second color should be applied only after the complete drying of the first.
There are two ways to help you create an uneven painting. You can apply the second tone with a sponge, although it is takes long time, the effect will be very interesting. There is an easier option; you can tie a few rags with nodes, as unevenly as possible, on the roller. While you are painting with the roller the paint will make spots. Each subsequent layer of paint should be applied after drying the previous one.
Shades for paint of the walls are to be chosen from beige and ocher to brick and terracotta. Colors should remind old and weathered stone. In order to avoid mistakes in color, you should first buy a small amount of paint and make a probe on the wall. If you have arranged everything, only then buy paint in large quantities.
