Wall Clocks as Interior Decoration
The history of development of clocks is complex and interesting, they were invented a few centuries ago, but still have not lost their relevance. Once upon a time clocks were merely a means of determining the time, later they became an indicator of luxury and prestige, an indispensable piece of furniture.
Wall clocks came into our lives, and today you can hardly find somebody who never uses clocks or watches. Today, they not only show the time, but they are also part of the room interior.
Wall clocks can be both quite conventional, and expensive that accentuate the individuality of the owner. The style of design of clocks is also very various: classic, modern, hi-tech, avant-garde – just one of the most popular. Wall clocks may be made of a variety of materials, the most valuable specimen are considered to be the models made of fine wood or precious metals.
However, no matter how exclusive wall clocks are they are all divided into three main types – quartz, mechanical and electronic. And after that you can divide them into: clocks with a pendulum, weights and cuckoo, striking clocks with melody, clocks with different indicators (for example, lunar phases), clocks with a logo.
Clock sizes may vary between 25 cm (miniature models) to 1m (giant clocks).
The measured ticking of a clock or the melodic striking can add cosiness to any apartment or country house that is why wall clocks are so popular among the interior decorations. And perhaps also because, thanks to a wide variety of models they can easily fit into any environment.
