In the coming year, they urged to get completely rid of reality and to immerse themselves in the world of turquoise fantasies. “Turquoise brings us to the exciting tropical paradise, creating a sense of security in difficult times” – this is the belief in the Pantone, which announced Turquoise color (PANTONE ® 15-5519 Turquoise) the color of 2010.
According to specialists of the company, turquoise, combining the quality of calming blue, and bracing green, reminds of reminiscent calming, tranquil waters of the tropical beaches where you can escape from everyday problems and to regain good health.
“In many cultures, turquoise takes a special place,” – says CEO of the Pantone Color Institute ® Leatrice Eiseman. “People believe that this color is a protective talisman, the color of compassion and healing, the color of faith and truth, who has taken its beautiful tone from the sky and sea. During the years of research, we also found that for many people the turquoise color means an escape from reality into a tropical paradise, attractive and alluring, although it often is merely a figment of our imagination”.
The choice of turquoise color as the color of the year is not a surprise for professionals in the field of fashion and design: turquoise came into vogue several years ago, winning the stage and interior space.
At the latest Milan showroom, turquoise color was introduced in a variety of hues: its popularity has affected not only by choosing the color of new furniture collections, but also the choice of color gamma for the stands of well-known companies.
