Travel Sofa Known As Suited Case
Every modern traveler is familiar with the situation, when you have to spend a few hours in the airport waiting for your flight. But not every airport has a sufficient number of seats for waiting, in this case the passengers have to sit down on their suitcases. That is the situation that a young designer Erik De Nijs imagined, when heĀ demonstrated the sofa Suited Case at Dutch Design Week. The sofa is made up of four between a certain suitcases: two large and two smaller ones.
To make the trip more comfortable, Eric picked up for its road furniture floral upholstery, which, in his opinion, will remind travelers of home.
This idea is not the first time comes to designers: designers from the Moscow bureau OSTENGRUPPE demonstrated a collection of furniture suitcase Collezione MOBILE at the Milan Exhibition in 2006. The collection consists of five objects only, created by the same principle of mobility, and they represent represent a chair-bag, post-bag, dressing-case, the bed-box and a portable outdoor lamp-suitcase.
Belgian Maarten De Ceulaer is more attracted by the other side of suitcases, namely their capacity: the designer makes up one chest of drawers and large wardrobe.
