Tips for Decorating a Christmas Tree
So the first thing that you should draw your attention to, when thinking of the Christmas tree decoration is the harmony with your interior. It is easy to assume that in the spacious room a small fir tree, no matter how originally it may be decorated, will be visually lost. Conversely, in a small room bulky spruce will “take up” such valuable space.
The style of your interior should also be taken into account. For example, in a hi-tech decorated interior the Christmas tree that is decorated with handmade toys will look ridiculous.
Let us consider such an important aspect, as the colors of the upcoming decor. I think it won’t be useless to recall that the colors, identical to saturation, are easily combined with each other. For example, all pastel shades. Another example is the deep forest green and dark red. In addition, most colors are perfectly combined with white and shades of metallic (gold, silver). If you decide to use a combination of monochrome, ie different shades of one color – use a different size jewelry (large and small balls), as well as different texture – glossy and matte surface, various ribbons, garlands. When choosing color combinations, try to keep it in the entire Christmas decoration of the apartment (candle compositions, wreaths, garlands).
It won’t be unnecessary to take into account recent developments in the Christmas decoration when choosing décor.
This year such decorations as dolls, flowers, butterflies, angels, feathers, beads, etc are still in fashion. In addition, there is a tendency in reducing the significance of color, meaning color has no prevailing values, all colors are fashionable, without exception. Different types of handmade jewelry are also getting popular.
So, if you’ve already decided with the decor, you can start immediately to decorate the Christmas tree. Here there are few simple rules:
· begin to decorate the tree with electrical garlands
· first you should hang large, the most spectacular jewelry, and then fill the background with smaller toys
· identical in shape and color jewelry should not be hanged together
· beads and garlands should be hanged so that they do not overshadow the other decorations, they should not be arranged vertically but around the tree
· if the tree is in the middle of the room, decorations should be placed evenly on all its sides
· In the end the top is decorated with the traditional star or “tip”. However, this rule is not necessary – if the traditional decorations are not available, they can be replaced with a big bow, or any toy with a suitable type and shape.
