Tham & Videgard Arkitekter Designed “Sunny” kindergarten
Tellus Nursery School is “Solar” kindergarten, which was designed by a Swedish architectural studio Tham & Videgard Arkitekter between the forest and former industrial area in Stockholm (Sweden).
As already mentioned, the place, where the construction of a new children’s garden, located between high urban industrial area and a small forest. During this period, the young district is under development and expansion, so the construction of the kindergarten was one of the top priorities.

Bright yellow wood slats 50×50 covered area such as yellow twisty facades and even some window openings, in order to “filter” the bright sunlight.
The spacious main hall can accommodate six children’s groups. Here a wide range of games and educational activities are taking place here, while private rooms provide a place for art projects, recreation and small game sections.
Due to the organic forms of body building, its interior space is continuous and flowing, creating a space complex and interesting forms. Windows of different sizes are placed randomly, at different heights, which give more “playful mood” to an unusual form factor. New “sunny” building meets the highest environmental standards.
