Interior Design: A Small Guest-House

Guesthouse Design

Each person has his own personal idea about ideal dwelling. A magnificent penthouse in hi-tech style or a bungalow in colonial spirit on an ocean coast or maybe a modern functional and a cold-delicate apartment in the centre of a noisy mega polis …

There can be an infinite number of options. But at heart everyone will agree that a classical country estate in a remarkable park zone with view on lake — is the most ideal, even idyllic place to live: the organic environment, the oasis of quiet luxury, cast by the nostalgic image of an ancient manor of noble family. A small guest house— only a fragment, a part of manor with park. All architectural complex is done in a classical way that has not excluded also an easy mix (an impregnation of multi-styled details: arbors, landscape elements etc.), and the guest house is not an exception.

The planned decision of the house is simple and logical. The ground floor is divided into two zones by the hall: bedrooms and kitchen-dining rooms. The second — a private zone of rooms-bedrooms. Each room is designed in certain color scale; at the same time the general style unity and modularity of the composite solution remain. All spaces are small, chamber-like and very cozy. In a bright terracotta dining room the small bay window allows to expand the space visually. The same trick is used in the sleeping rooms. The house composition is symmetric enough which is done for the functionality purposes. Architects have managed to create interiors classical and modern at the same time. Fabric wall-papers done in sated tones, soft carpet coverings, bright accent curtains, thorough oak furniture, the Spanish fixtures with plafonds from a stone — all elements of the interior create almost tactile sensation of coziness and rest. The obvious preference is given to such natural materials, as marble and a tree.

On the ground floor the billiard room with a bar rack and a corner for rest are located. Color scale — emerald-green, traditional for billiard rooms. The convenient furniture from Calamus leads to a pacification and a relaxation.

A Similar mood is also cast by the whole house, justifying the mission — to create the most comfortable conditions for leaving pleasant memoirs and desire to come back to this remarkable place for the guests.
