Legends and myths about sea shells

Shellfish is not just seafood. At all times different beliefs were associated with them. It was thought that shells have magical powers. Knowingly spun cones or “butterflies” from mussels fascinate and attract the eye. You just want to take one of them in your hands and caress the silk surface.

Our ancestors believed that the sea shells brought into the house good luck and wealth. They were considered masterpieces of nature, which are not harmful to health and help to attain prosperity. The sea shell was a talisman for people, they isolated out a special place for the shells in the house. Previously shells from pearl were the most cherished. People were drinking wine from “natural bowls”. It was believed that it absorbs the force of the shell, heals the heart and blood vessels. If there was pearl in the shell, the effectiveness of the interior item increased. Shells were installed in bedrooms, to improve sexual activity and immunity.
