Reflection
In “Reflection,” the artist introduces the oil on canvas as all that we see and its reflection as well. They claim that the scene in the water appears more beautiful than the land.
The artist wonderfully catches the viewers attention with their dominant use of red. From there our eyes begin to take in our world, as depicted by the artist. Its busy and dynamic strokes illustrate our daily lives in abstract form, and yet the reflection portrays a calmer domain. Perhaps this is how we present ourselves to the universe; from the outside there is serenity, yet on the inside we are all struggling.
