J. P. Meulendijks Represents Unusual Lamp Bird in Hand
In childhood, many have certainly played in the “theater of shadows” on the wall or ceiling, making the hands of different shapes under the light table lamp. For example, dog, duck, wolf, bunny, even preschoolers are able to portray. Whereas, adults, who haven’t lost childishness and the sense of humor when growing up, but instead acquired gravity and financial independence, making such devices, which would make “theater of shadows” without the direct involvement of the main “actors”.
Dutch designer by name J. P. Meulendijks refers precisely to such type of people with a sense of humor. Perhaps he himself has small children, who asked their father to show him on the wall, the wolf and the bunny. And then, dad came up with something more interesting, and gave a name to this “something” – lamp Bird in Hand. After all, it’s a bird in the hand is better, isn’t it?
It is not hard to guess what part the designer assigned his project Bird in Hand. Lampshade in this lamp consists of a dozen pairs of palms folded in the form of birds hovering over land. Therefore, a shadow just like that will fall on the walls, floor and ceiling, when the light is switched on. Here it is, the shadow theater is ready! It’s just the show in this theater will not make happy novelty. On the other hand, this lamp won’t become an original object.
The author says nothing about, whether his lamp is spinning round its axis, and makes the birds shadows to fly in a circle. But he claims that the purchase “a bird in the hand” can be done on the site of Plankton company.
