Lighting of Manager’s Office
Cabinets are different. There are office-type premises and there are home offices, which are located in houses and apartments. There are studios or rooms for negotiation. The lighting depends on the type of room. The important role plays the type of activity of the person, who is working in the office.
Lighting in the office: the main principles
• Most interior designers believe that the comfort in the office is created by illumination. It should be even lighting. So, they use lamps with translucent shades. There are special plafonds, scattering the light.
• In the office, as a rule, there are several light sources. However, they should not create sharp contrasts. It’s bad for the vision. You’d better set spotlights on the ceiling and walls. They create great and pleasant background lighting, which is successfully combined with the zonal lighting fixtures.
• In the office there is always necessity for lighting the tables at which negotiations are held. Experts advise to have ceiling lights directly above them. Despite the fact that they are brighter than the background light, the contrast is discreet and comfortable to the eye.
• Don’t forget about daylight. To benefit from the sunlight, the table must be placed by the window so that the light falls on the left of the sitting person. Never sit with your back to the window. You will be giving shadow on the work surface and will not see clearly the interlocutor, who is sitting in front of you. His face also will be in the shade.
