Lampshades With Unusual Design
We are always good at making two things from old plastic bottles: garbage and devices for drugs. But a group of Chinese designers proposes to follow the path of creation. They suggest to do out of empty plastic bottles of unusual forms lampshades called Bottle Light.
In fact, the idea of making something new and beautiful out of old things is not new. Moreover, the idea of making lampshades from all sorts of household rubbish is far from being new. For example, the original table night lamps out of old packaging for juice, which were suggested by the designer Anke Weiss. And the designers YaRan Chang, Hsin Chou Liao, Chung en Lee and Simon Shih were just the first who used plastic bottles to make lamps. This fact, however, doesn’t make their invention less original.
It’s pretty simple! Each of you regularly buys drinks in plastic bottles. And you always have to throw them in the recycle bins, or if you are ill-bred, simply on the ground. But you can use at least some of these old bottles.
It’s enough just to roll them fairly or mash up (remember the tumultuous student days!) and attach it to an ordinary table lamp, chandelier or some other lamp. The main thing is that there were light-emitting diodes rather than incandescent bulbs, or else fire can not be avoided.
In the total you get rid of potential debris and get pretty original lamps. Moreover, these are multi-colored lights, as the plastic bottles are many-colored themselves!
Of course, this method doesn’t lead to the fact that absolutely all the used plastic bottles will take their place not in recycle bins and landfills, but on our lamps. But it will a bit diversify our lives (especially as these lampshades can be constantly changed).
It is worth mentioning that the project Bottle Light won the first place in design competition Liteon Award this year.
