Kotaro Ide Launches Shell Residence Located in Japanese Forest
Very interesting example of a true Japanese architecture – a rigorous, but stylish was presented by the designer Kotaro Ide from the company ARTechnic. The project is called “Shell residence”, as it was built in the tourist area, the park-preserve Karuizava, which is located in Nagano Prefecture.
This is an unusual building, a perfect example of a country house for the modern young family.
The house “Shell residence” constructed so that it seems as if it is an elongated oval structure of concrete and glass “hugging” a tree. But at the same time, the building is located away from the main plant, so that those, who will live here, do not interfere with nature, and both could enjoy its proximity. This project the authors would like to emphasize that the unity with nature should not be aggressive, and that it was important to live in peace and harmony with the environment, and not with the head immersed in this world.
Since the house is in a zone of low temperatures and high humidity, oval structure on the 1.5-meter rises above the ground, so to protect them from cold and damp. In addition, the building is equipped with a centralized control system “smart house” that allows you to manage all the devices inside the home by a special panel with three buttons.
Modern house with stylish interior is equipped with the latest high-tech devices, really looks like the house is a dream for those, who live outside the city, in nature, and at the same time not lose contact with the outside world.
