What is Kitsch Interior?
Progress does not stand in one place. Now almost everything is being changed in this world! Old is gradually disappearing. It is replaced by unfamiliar new things and designers continue to assert that everything new is well forgotten old. This statement highlights a new style “kitsch interior”. Its essence turn into that a basis is on the tradition of antiquity and refracted in such a way that appears above the old simple mockery. “Kitsch interior” is a kind of nihilism in the architecture, which stubbornly denies all the successes of past generations. Robust combination of furniture, colors, the presence of various accessories – all to be adjusted in the modern sense of the word. The conspicuous flowers irreconcilability become a priority at the forefront screaming vulgarities and complete mismatch basic canons of style and features.
This style is usually born of excessive wealth and the desire to invest the “extra” money in its many quirks and the most unusual requests or, conversely, as a result of high poverty bordering on misery. People who are constantly trying somehow to distinguish from the gray mass are often choosing this style in the interior. When they tire of the variety in the clothes, all the accents are directed to the residential and office premises they own.
The authors of these ideas often engage in the creation of interior of “kitsch” type. Sometimes the designers help them, but their services are so expensive that not every oligarch is ready to spend that much money. When a designer is trying to convince the customer for a long time that things selected by them are not in harmony in the interior of one room, then the designer has no other way, except using the kitsch interior. In this case, the expert needs quite a long time to think about what way to place the available items and furniture so that they look to the maximum advantageous.
Screaming tasteless man-made marble, gilt frames on the cheap market, massive carved chairs, reminiscent of the 19th century next to a glass table in the style of “high-tech”; huge bed of classical palace style with the most basic modern legs. This list can be continued endlessly! But many people use this style in the design of their apartments, and with the lapse of time this style gains new hearts, despite of its absurdity.
