Karen Berberyan Introduces Sphereplex Skyscraper
Armenian architect Karen Berberyan presented a draft of futuristic skyscraper called Sphereplex, formed from groups of spheres, mounted on an impressive exoskeleton of steel pipes. The purpose of the object is office and public space letting on lease.
Spheres of various sizes are made in the materials selected for each of them in line with the functional purpose and orientation. Pipes, which are fixed scope, evoke associations with the pods of exotic plants.
Such an alternative architecture is based on at least an unusual vision.
As a rule, high-rise public buildings are leased to various companies, which occupy several floors or any part of the same level, resulting in a lost sense of corporate integrity and individuality.
Separateness and isolation of spatial fields from each other will allow each of the tenants feel like a full-fledged master of its territory, without sharing it with other organizations.
In addition, a multilevel complex of individual units, formed around the vertical rods will be an excellent guide and the most expressive in their environment object. The skyscraper absolutely doesn’t look like to the building, reminding, quick, cluster of planets, or a giant fruit-bearing trees.
