The first item in a Japanese bedroom that will catch everybody’s attention is a low platform bed which may or may not have a frame. The bed is usually placed in the center of the room or facing a window. Windows are usually big and are left open to let the natural light come into the room.
This Tatami Bed is unique in its design and has two Japanese Tatami mats as a platform surface. By the way Tatami mats have been used in Japan as a floor covering or bed surface for hundreds of years.
