Interior Design for Big Families
This house is constructed in 1950’s, but its interior was little reconstructed in 2000. Owners of the house Steve and Nancy Lovet have four children; therefore the question of functional zoning of the space was very crucial at their house.
The designer of this project, Kristen Panitch, tells how the project of reconstruction of this house was created: “As at customers have four children the eldest of which is 10 and the youngest is 6, it was decided to build on the second floor to this old one-storey house.”
For the color solution of the interior a palatte of colors was chosen based on blue. The designer’s affection for the color has coincided with the one of the owner, who herself was a fan of the blue color. Thus blue built-in bookcase, blue upholstered furniture, emerald portieres and a dark blue floor in a dining room, wall-paper with blue colours in a bedroom appeared … Even a patio with a fireplace in the street is decorated in blue shades.
