It seems that the home theater is a pleasure not for everyone; it is an expensive luxury without which it is possible to do. Each of us has a TV-set, projector or a large monitor with speaker, and home theater – is, in essence, the space around it. Let’s see how to make this space more comfortable.
What do you need for home theater?
The real mighty home theater should ideally occupy a separate room, even not very large (it all depends on how many people you are going to invite). For competent equipment of this room it is not enough to buy all the necessary equipment. You should also take care of good sound insulation and the right lighting so that even its relative absence does not impair the vision.
Home Theater Design
In a special room for such a rest all of your design ideas and dreams can be implemented, but there are some basic guidelines. For example, it would be logical to design the home theater in a monochrome color scheme, so that nothing distracts your eyes from the screen. At the same time you can give preference to both dark and light shades. As for the stylistic direction, there can be only logical constraints: for example, it is not necessary to make out a small room with bulky furniture in Rococo style or loft style, as this style implies the presence of large windows and plenty of sunlight, which contradicts the basic idea of a home theater.
The important point is that no technical aspects should affect the aesthetics of design. That is, all the wires and “secret” instruments must be hidden. For the wall decoration of home theater there is no better material than dense textile – it absorbs the sound well and makes it easy to hide the wiring.
Furniture for home theater
The furniture should certainly be comfortable. Generally, to sacrifice the comfort for the sake of beauty in the interior is unreasonable and, in particular in case of a home theater system. So you need to choose very comfortable, quality furniture with upholstery that will not only visually fit the design of the space, but will stand in the room so that everyone could clearly see the screen. It is possible to order, for example, one very large sofa for at least five people instead of a few chairs. And do not forget about tables on which it will be possible to put a bowl of popcorn and a glass of Pepsi-Cola.
