Home Improvement: Selecting Color for a Child’s Room
The choice of the color of the interior is of great importance for the atmosphere in the room of your child. For this purpose you should not only follow the general rules, but also take into account the nature and color preferences of the child.
With age, color preferences of the child usually change. Children under 8 years old choose bright rich colors, 9-11 year old children prefer green and yellow colors. Still later children prefer blue. When choosing colors for a child’s room you need to take into account the lighting of the room, color and furniture design.
Children pay special attention to the color of furniture preferring neutral colors such as light-green, which will not irritate babies and will even quieten them. It’s better to paint the wall near the bed in a calm tone.
If there is little furniture in your child’s room, place a panel or hang any gentle image with warm colors on the wall.
Another simple detail is that the color of your child’s room should not be distinguished from the home interior design, otherwise it can cause disharmony and depression, and may also have a negative effect on the development of your beloved child.
