Home Improvement: Restoration of a Summer House at a Coast
This interesting small house belongs to the Manhattan interior designer Jill Johnson. This house is at coast where Jill and her family, consisting of the husband and two children, have a restduring holiday and on days off.
Their house not big at all, they have bought it not so long ago, but have tried to put in order, to restore and make a small re-planning. As the height of ceilings was not satisfactory at all, they came up with the decision to disassembleall all ceilings. Thus it turned into a living with a beautiful rolling ceiling like penthouse. Then owners have changed the windows. Have put mosqitou grids, and have restored the beautiful window platbands.
Jill bought many of the decoration elements at the flea markets and restored herself. For example, she got the interesting bamboo chandelier for a bedroom for 5 dollars by a chance, she painted it herself and gave a quite decent appearance.
The main color scheme of the space decor is white-beigeThe walls of the house are white, there is a lot of white funrniture and the parquet is light in color. The bright stains are the turquoise and acid green ware, emerald accessories and decor elements.
