Hand Made Curtains for Your Interior

Today we’re going to learn to sew curtains for the kitchen or bedroom with Charity. It is a lovely curtain which can adorn a window with blinds or tulle.

To do this you will need

* Fabric with dimensions: width of your window and a height of 60 cm;

* Thread in the fabric color;

* A narrow satin ribbon of 2 m for ties

For curtains, you can choose the fabric to your taste, but keep in mind that different qualities of fabric will drape differently. Heavy silk fabric is not worth buying, as all the folds will be at the bottom. Light cotton and synthetic fabrics will suit well.

Iron the fabric and arrange them on a flat surface. Sew the bottom and side edges of the curtain; stitch the seams on the sewing machine.

Bold over the overhead edge taking into account the thickness of your cornice. Sew it by machine.

The side seams on the bottom gather on the thread manually. 5-7 pitch of 1,5 cm will be enough.

Hang the curtains on the ledge. Cut the ribbon into two pieces of length 1 m.

Pass it over the cornice and curtain and tie it closer to the bottom of the curtain (with indent of 1 / 3 of the lateral edge of the curtains).
