Halo Toaster: A New Way To Toast Bread. Flat Toaster With Color And Light
With the development of “miniaturization” trends, familiar household items and other devices lose their usual size and appearance in the scientific and design world, and instead we get the innovative gadgets, which are nearly twice as lighter, smaller, already lower, so that they occupy less space and are much more convenient than ever before. For example, mobile phones may be the size of a bracelet, a toaster from a rectangular box on the kitchen table becomes a nearly flat sheet “of paper”.
Flat toaster with a thickness of several sheets of cardboard, is an innovative concept gadget Halo Toaster, designed by an international team of designers Vinay Rana, Burcu Bag and Amalia Monica.
The specified object operates extremely simple. Slice of a bread that is ready to become toast, or just a few pieces, we must expand on the surface of Halo Toaster, which then should be wrapped, like a sheet of paper, completely covering the future toast. And then the gadget light and color will show the user how much his dish is ready. When a button on/off is blinking and the toast of the blue squares turn red, then it’s time for breakfast.
The main purpose of this device is to occupy as little space in the kitchen, as well as to consume as little energy as it’s possible. And if the first task the authors have successfully coped – flat Halo Toaster can be rolled into a tube and slide into the cabinet or hang on the wall as board for slicing bread, something about the energy conservation they got a bit hot. Actually, this project is still said nothing, so will the Halo Toaster at the mercy of sunlight, or charged with some hitherto unknown know-how, we will know only when the device will not be so conceptual.
