Greene & Greene 10 Drawer Mule Chest

This unique Mission or Arts & Crafts 10 Drawer Panel Mule Chest Dresser is Hand made of matched Solid Cherry panels and frames with black corner splines and softened shapes that bring out the warmth and depth of the wood surface.

Note the Japanese influence as interpreted by the Greene and Greene group in the solid wood individually formed drawer pulls fitted to the size and form of the individual drawers.

 The intricate Wood Joinery features visible squared box joints for added strength and is typical of that seen in the Gamble house of Pasadena, California, a hallmark of the Greene and Greene contributions to the Arts and Crafts movement. Every surface is smoothed and rounded, gentle to the touch and without sharp corners or edges.

Obviously each of these pieces is the work of a single artisan working with hand tools and patience. Truly a work of art, this piece would be perfect in a Mission or Craftsman motif room and would look wonderful in a Bungalow style or Prairie home.
