Flower Beds in Landscape Design
Actually, a flower-bed is a flower garden, which can have the most diverse forms, for example, circle, rectangle, oval, polyhedron, or general asymmetrical shape. In addition, on some flower-beds, the usage of colors creates a certain pattern or design. It all depends on the ideas and imagination of landscape designer.
Of course, at our dachas, we ourselves are the designers and make beds for our taste. However, if you want to get good result, you must have at least a general idea about the art of creating flower beds.
Flower beds are best to be made in the open spaces and on smooth infield. At the same time, for the creation of a flower bed you can use perennials as well as one and biennial plants.
The design flowerbeds must meet the following requirements:
• the flower bed should not only look beautiful and well maintained, but it also must be clearly visible from any place;
• flower bed may be different in size, but the minimum area should be not less than 3 square meters;
• flower bed design, especially the inner part, shouldn’t be too complicated and confusing;
• plants which make up the flower bed, should rise by 15 cm above the ground.
