Choose the “Right” Wallpaper for any Interior Decoration
Choose wallpaper with a specific pattern, color and texture, you can easily correct the shortcomings of your homes.
How to make small room visually more spacious:
* Frequent and large pictures visually reduce the space, and fine and rare ones expand it;
* Paste wallpaper of cold tones; light salad, silver-gray, light blue;
* Paste wallpaper with a picture of diamond;
* Give up bright wallpaper with contrasting patterns;
* Wallpaper with a large pattern can be pasted on the wall opposite the window;
* Paste one wall with wallpaper, the color of which visually “retreats” to the background (for example, calm blue or blue-green), and paste the adjacent side wall with more light colored wallpaper;
* The ceiling should be pasted with wallpaper in longitudinal stripes.
If you feel uncomfortable in a very large room:
* Select wallpaper saturated with warm and dark tones;
* Choose wallpaper with a large pattern and sloping lines;
* Paste wallpaper in a vertical strip, it visually increases the height of the room, but at the same time reduces its volume
If the room is narrow and tall:
* Take wallpaper with horizontal stripes;
* Divide the premises, at a height, to three parts, the lower two-thirds must be pasted with a wallpaper in more saturated colors, and adjacent to the ceiling of a third with light colored wallpaper.
* Longitudinal walls must be pasted with lighter wallpaper, and transverse walls with more dark;
* Paste one of the walls with wallpaper of a different color.
To “raise” the ceiling:
* Paste the wallpaper with a vertical pattern or without pattern;
* Paste the walls up to the ceiling without any border;
* Draw up the ceiling in bright colors.
To make the ceiling visually lower:
* Paste wallpaper not up to the ceiling and end its borders;
* Paste wallpaper with a pattern, not reaching to the ceiling;
*For walls you’d better use two types of wallpaper and separate them by borders, and as for the ceiling, just make darker;
* Paste the walls with wallpaper in horizontal stripes.
