A team from the renowned British architectural studio of Foster Partners has created a comfortable and stylish space, where passengers can spend time out of their journey with great pleasure, and sometimes a long period of delay.
The noble Interior of the Cabin
It has everything necessary to pass a few hours: a comfortable place to wait for restricting personal passenger area and a buffet. The constructive new zone stresses the recognizable atmosphere of airport, but how! The designers combined the marble, red leather furniture and glass zoned elements in the “framework” of the glossy and matte surfaces reflecting the floor, walls and ceiling.
The color scheme of the interior, by the way, reminds of the solution of the famous TWA Terminal at JFK International Airport, which we wrote in a previous publications.
All elements of the situation, as well as furniture and magnificent place to wait under the name of Cathay Solus Chair were made in Italy. The interior of the seat-cabin, where even in the spacious hall of the airport you can be alone with your own thoughts, is made of leather cushioning elements of the noble red hue, ringed the outside painted in glossy white wood. The design of each “soft spot” provides a sense of privacy, which is necessary in the hall of the airport, no less than a good airport bar.
