Blustering Nightfall
Personally, I love this piece, it speaks volumes to me. Yet I’m not sure if I adore it more because of its interesting title, “Blustering Nightfall”. The artist introduces the handmade oil on canvas as their depiction of the world, they claim that the entire world is a dense mass, and none of its surroundings can escape from it.
If you gaze closely, you’ll notice a dark circle in the center of the painting. Is this possibly our world; slowly consuming everything around it until there is nothing left? I feel that the slight use of earth tones add somewhat of a dawning of finitude to the painting as a whole. The last traces of all that we know perhaps.
