AB Elis Ltd Represent Eco-City of the Future
Eco-city that can be built already in the 2020th year, is an impressive project to restore the Peace industrial zone in Eastern Siberia (Russia), developed by the Moscow architect’s AB Elis Ltd. The idea of the innovative project is the formation of a new type of high urban density, coexisting in harmony with nature.
AB Elis is located inside a giant east siberian crater.
The futuristic city is located inside one of the world’s largest man-made crater diameter of more than 1550 meters.
The project concept involves creating a new urban garden, protected from the harsh Siberian conditions in its environment, which is characterized by long cold winters and short hot summers.
New Town is designed to attract tourists and inhabitants of Eastern Siberia in their friendly apartments, ready to accommodate over 100,000 people. The city is divided into three main levels of vertical farms: forests, houses and recreation areas. One of the most interesting aspects of the project is the glass dome that protects the city covered with photovoltaic arrays for the use with solar energy. The project also provides with progressive eco-systems necessary to sustain the mega-structure.
The central tier of the giant crater is the main multi-level urban infrastructure, including a research center. Residential area was seated on the first level with an open terrace overlooking the forest, located in the heart of the city.
