Built-up area of the complex is 76,846 square meters. Location of the University is located near Changi (Singapore’s main airport) and Business Park Changi Business Park. Future University will become the fourth and most prestigious institution in the region.
SUTD provides four key directions of training programs: Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD), Engineering Product Development (EPD), Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) and Information Systems and Design Technology (ISTD). It is assumed that the new university will be a driver of technological development and economic growth, as well as a catalyst for connecting people, ideas and innovation.
The project also provides for selection of the best orientation of structures in relation to the effects of the sun and wind, as well as maximum use of natural ventilation and natural light throughout the complex. On the roof, and some tiers will be divided into green areas and lawns.
