OSB OFFICE From And For Mode:lina: “An Expensive Interior” From Inexpensive Materials
More recently, the young designers from the polish architectural consulting company mode:lina completed design of their own office, located in the town of Poznan (Poland), in the basement of the elegant 60-storey building.
The priority task of the authors was to use inexpensive materials to create a “cheap” and a comfortable interior.
That is why the designers decided to use as a flooring material and for furniture, lacquered OSB.
High tech lamps were made of conventional structures for mounting a drywall and fluorescent lamps.
Tabletops of minimalist rectangular table are covered with artificial dark-brown skin, which in combination with a “warm” pattern of OSB and snow-white walls creates a sense of comfort, style and solidity. In addition, behind the impenetrable designs of tables all the cables and storage systems are hidden.
According to the authors of the situation, the floor, and office furniture made from OSB, creates a cozy, soft and democratic atmosphere for creativity and productive staff. Worm, light, pure and extraordinary, these are all, in fact, that are needed for good working young creative team of like-minded.
Despite the fact that this project is not a model of respectability (which, incidentally, was not required by the situation of basement), it is simple and expedient concept deserves attention and could well be taken as a basis for the development of creative thought.
